After a 35 year career as a business leader in the consumer packaged goods and retail sectors, Marc Guay joined PEO as an Executive Advisor in 2016.
At the time of his retirement, Marc was President of PepsiCo’s Canadian Food business, a position he held since 2009. Previous to that, he had led the Frito Lay Canada organization since 2001. Marc’s 29 years with PepsiCo consisted of a number of different assignments, primarily in Sales and General Management, including postings in Eastern Canada, Western Canada and the United States.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, Marc was at P&G for 5 years where he learned the fundamentals of selling, as a Sales Representative, and of people leadership, as a Unit Manager.
Outside of work, Marc has devoted much time to feeding hungry Canadians, volunteering at local food banks and currently as Chair of the Board of Food Banks Canada. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Metro Inc, the Grocery Foundation, the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business as well as the Food and Consumer Products of Canada, where he served as Chair in 2007.
Marc is a graduate from l’École des Hautes Études Commerciales, in Montreal. He is married with 4 children and a granddaughter. He loves to golf, enjoys fine wines, listening to music from the 60’s and 70’s, following the Montreal Canadiens and going to the cinema.
