As general manager of the Canadian headquarters of the world’s largest independently owned PR firm, Lisa Kimmel has a reputation for being a natural leader and strategic thinker. She specifically oversees the operations and financial performance of the Toronto office, which was named 2012 IABC/Toronto Large Agency of the Year. Prior to becoming general manager, Kimmel was senior vice-president and national practice leader of the company’s consumer practice, which under her leadership grew to become Canada’s largest. Before joining Edelman, she worked at two public relations firms in their consumer practice divisions. Kimmel is a member of the Canadian Council of PR Firms and Edelman’s Global Women’s Executive Network steering committee. She sits on the boards of The Harbourfront Centre and Sketch, a community arts initiative for street youth.
